EPSOM SALT BATH
  • It is extremely important that you take an EPSOM SALT BATH as soon as possible following treatment. This will significantly enhance the results of the treatment.
  • EPSOM SALTS can be purchased at SHAPE or the drugstore.
  • Treatments cause an increase in blood circulation to the injured area in order to promote healing of the tissues. As well, the treatment helps relax the injured tissues, decrease inflammation, relax tension and spasm within the muscle and or joint. These effects ultimately promote the release of lactic acid and chemical buildup in the injured tissues and surrounding areas.
  • EPSOM SALTS have a high magnesium content, which draws out the lactic acid and chemical buildup that has been mobilized from the injured tissues enhancing recovery and promoting healing.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR TAKING THE BATH:
  • Use 2-4 cups in a full bath of warm to hot water (as warm as you can tolerate).
  • You must soak in the bath for a minimum of 20 minutes, without adding any bathing solutions or oils and without using soap, as these substances will alter the chemistry of the water.
  • After soaking for 20 minutes, you may wash or rinse off as you wish.
Image REPLACE FLUIDS you lose through perspiration during the bath, keep a glass of cold water beside you and sip it during the bath.

Image CAUTION: If you have a heart condition, you should moderate the water temperature and avoid submerging your body above heart level.
