- Stage 2: Muscle Strength / Hypertrophy
- Stage 3: Power Endurance / Complex Training
|
The initial goal of SHAPE's unique approach to exercise training called
High Performance Personal Training (HPPT), is to ensure proper
stability from head to toe, but particularly in the "core". We want to
ensure that you have a stable platform (or "core") from which you can
graduate to more advanced training techniques. Further, ensuring proper
function of the core musculature can help prevent future low-back and
neck pain, as well as improve results of exercise in general. From the
information gathered during the initial assessment, we can determine
areas where you need improvement. At SHAPE, all of our highly-skilled conditioning specialists
implement high-intensity, metabolic training methods which are
efficient, effective and fun.

FITNESS ASSESSMENTS
The journey toward optimal fitness should begin with a comprehensive functional assessment by the regulated health care professionals at SHAPE. During this consultation, the goals are to:
- Provide you with a current status report of your body composition, health and fitness level.
- Screen for, and assess any musculoskeletal injuries.
- Assess functional movement patterns and dynamic muscle function.
|
 |
 |
During the assessment, one of our high performance conditioning specialists will determine your fitness and lifestyle goals. They will then evaluate the following parameters utilizing current, valid, and efficient measurements, which can then be compared to age-matched, population-based normal values:
- Patient Statistics: Age, Weight & Height
- Body Mass Index (BMI)
- Resting Blood Pressure
- Body Composition: Fat & Lean Mass Percentages
- Anthropometric Measurements (Girth Measurements)
- Waist-Hip Ratio
- Muscular Strength
- Max Wall Sit Time
- Standardized Max Push-Up Test
- Core Stability
- Flexibility

Our Clients Say
Thanks for last week's treatment. Sunday's run (I did my own 25 km instead of the Half Marathon race) was smooth as butter. You were right, my legs felt like a million bucks! Since the combo of massage and treatment worked so effectively.
