About Mike:
- Age: 51 (2004)
- Masters National Level Skier
- High performance athlete and competitive skier his entire life
- Currently training to improve his skiing performance
- Originally came to SHAPE to rehabilitate his second degree left MCL sprain and had been given a prognosis of 6-8 weeks of physical therapy at another sports medicine clinic in January
- Through SHAPE's Integrated Therapy and Training (ITT) approach we had him back racing after only 2 weeks of intensive ITT treatments

Goals:
- Finish top 3 at Canadian and World Master Ski Championships
- Increase strength, speed, agility quickness and flexibility
- Prevent Injuries
Current SHAPE Treatment Plan:
- High Performance Personal Training 2 x per week
- Yoga 2x per week
- ITT (Integrated Therapy and Training) once every 4 weeks
- RMT once every 6 weeks
- Protein shakes following workouts

- 3rd place in the Canadians GS #2
- 7th place in the Criteriun GS at the World Championships (top North American)
- 7th place in the Super G at the World Championships (top North American)
- 8th in the slalom at the World Championhsips
- 13th in the one run FIS GS at the World Championships
- 2nd in the combined (across all four races) at the World Championships
Apr. 2006 Update:
Well all the training has paid off - here are my results from the US Nationals:
- 3rd super G
- 3rd GS
- 5th Slalom
- 2nd overall combined

Sept. 2011 Update:
I placed first in my age class (55-59) in the Giant Slalom and 1st overall in the B category (55 yrs and above) at the Brazilian Championship as part of the FIS Masters Cup series in Chile, September 2011. I placed second in my age class in the Slalom.
