After working with Aveda in the field of esthetics, Ashley graduated from the Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching clinic.

While at Sutherland-Chan, Ashley’s clinical focus was on helping people living with chronic pain conditions, central nervous system disorders and pregnancy. Some of her clinical experience includes working with those affected by breast cancer, TMJ syndrome and sports injuries.

Ashley uses deep tissue and Swedish techniques to provide a treatment that is both relaxing and stimulating. She is a strong believer in myofascial release to alleviate postural pain.


Monika Uhlich

Monika Uhlich is a graduate of Sutherland Chan-School and Teaching clinic where she specialized in working with patients undergoing treatments for cancer, stroke survivors, as well as athletes.

Prior to becoming a Registered Massage Therapist, Monika graduated from Dalhousie University in Halifax with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology. During her time at Dalhousie, she worked closely with the Men's Varsity Basketball team providing athletic taping, as well as injury assessment and prevention.

Monika spends her free time volunteering at various sporting and charity events in order to demonstrate the benefits of registered massage therapy treatments for athletes as well as the general public. Monika recently volunteered at the Boston Marathon providing post-race treatments to reduce inflammation, muscle spasms, relieve pain and speed recovery.

Monika uses deep tissue and Swedish massage techniques in conjunction with therapeutic exercise to provide effective treatments to decrease pain and expedite injury recovery.

Johnny Lo is a graduate from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy program with honours. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from York University. Johnny has also fulfilled the requirements that allow him to perform Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University, which he will utilize when needed to reduce pain sensations and improve function. Johnny has an extensive knowledge of injuries associated with sports activity and motor vehicle accidents from his experience as a Certified Kinesiologist prior to becoming a Massage Therapist.

He is also certified in the application of performance taping. He has a passion for thorough assessments and is dedicated to treating root causes of injuries, problems and concerns. Joining the inter-professional care facility at SHAPE Toronto, Johnny is eager to utilize the strength of each profession to provide holistic care for your needs.

Over the years, Johnny has been an active participant in many sports activities ranging from various team sports such as soccer, softball, and hockey to individual sports such as badminton and tennis. Through participation, he has a gained practical knowledge of the types of movements required by various sports and is able to understand the challenges of experiencing injuries.

John graduated from the Royal Canadian College of Massage therapy. He has been practicing Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine & Acupuncture for many years and is able to integrate it into his practice. John also has extensive experience in Chinese Tuna massage, Taiji and Qigong practicing massage treatments. He is always considering treating ailments and diseases with both a western and oriental medicine approach. John combines Chinese and Western massage theories and techniques together to form his unique massage style. He is not only outstanding at relaxation massages, but also therapeutic treatments, especially treating chronic pain, sports injuries and rehabilitation.

John is not content in what he has achieved to date and continues to challenge himself in order to make his massage treatments more effective, long lasting, less painful and safe. He never stops learning and absorbing the advantages of other types of massage practices as he constantly searches for better and more effective treatment techniques.Back to Top

Tori believes registered massage therapy plays an integral role in the treatment of physical impairment and the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle. She began her education studying Physical Education and Health at the University of Toronto, where her love for anatomy blossomed.

With growing interest in the medical field and the human body, she attended Sutherland-Chan to achieve her Massage Therapy license. As a Registered Massage Therapist, Tori takes pride in educating and empowering her clients about the conditions that affect them. Her clinical experience includes the treatment of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Sciatica, Disc Herniation, with a special interest in TMJ disorders.
