Katie has always been passionate about healthy eating and living well and this inspired her to pursue a career in the health-care and fitness industry. Katie is a graduate of Ryerson University, with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nutrition and Food. After completing this program, she felt there was more to learn about total-body nutrition and decided to complete her Holistic Nutrition Certification at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in Toronto, becoming a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN). This additional training taught her how to focus on the mind, body, spirit aspects of nutrition and really fine tune her skills.
As a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Katie is thrilled to be part of the SHAPE team and dedicated to working with clients to make each and every experience the best it can possibly be. Katie is enthusiastic about educating individuals on the importance of integrating healthy eating with an exercise regime and helping them to achieve a balance between health, wellness and nutrition to establish anoptimum and maintainable lifestyle.
Katie incorporates multiple facets of nutrition including whole-foods nutrition and supplementation to best suit your requirements and lifestyle. Katie is passionate about helping others achieve their goals and to realize the long term benefits of eating well and taking care of their bodies, top to bottom, from the inside out. She has an excitement about nutrition and health, and is passionate about helping SHAPE clients benefit from this excitement in their own lives!
As a Clinic Manager, Katie enjoys working with an integrated team of health-care professionals who understand that team work provides the ultimate advantage to SHAPE's clients in all aspects of their physical fitness and health goals.
